July 4th

Posted on by Style By Kim xo

As we start getting closer to any special event or holiday I start getting emails about what to wear to be comfortable and still stand out at an event. Here are a few ideas for the 4th of July.

1) Cute Dress: If you want to be the cutest girl at the cookout, opt for a cute dress . My favourite for summer is always a white dress but for a 4th of July theme I love mixed prints.  Choose a red, white and blue color scheme that isn’t too overt, and a cut that is flattering in a sexy way.

This dress is a perfect throw on for any BBQ or pool or beach party.  Comfortable, cute and easy to wear. Find it here.  My white dress is from Indah.  They have some of the best dresses, find a similar one on their site here.

2) Fun Beach Tote. If Red and White striped dress is not you thing, try a beach bag that has a patriotic flair.  This one is by Ivanka Trump and will go with anything.  When carrying a striped bag, try to keep the rest of your outfit neutral: solid dress or tank and cutoffs. Find this one here and another one I like by Wildfox here.

3) Laid Back Cut-offs

Nothing says barbecue like a cute pair of jean shorts—and this star-emblazoned version is perfect for the Fourth. I really like these Current/Elliott Boyfriend Shorts with Star. Find these here.

4) A Cute Tank
A fitted, striped tank is a summer essential. Pair this one with your jean shorts and you’re ready for your 4th of July party. Tees This one by Billabong.  Find it here.

5) Cozy Pullover
Steamy July days often lead to cooler nights. Make sure you have a comfy sweatshirt on hand. A classic one like this is a great choice.  One of my favourite brands is Wildfox and they made this sweater patriotic perfect for this weekend. Find it here.
