If you have been browsing the internet over the past couple of days, chances are you have come across photos of the Met Gala. Some of you might be kind of shocked at what you’re seeing. Let’s be clear though that the Met Gala is not your typical red carpet. This is the Oscar’s of the fashion world. The red carpet is meant to be extravagant and avant-garde. This is where boring gets called out. I want to break down what the Met Gala is exactly for you guys and show you some of the best dressed. The Met Gala is an annual event that marks the opening of the MET fashion exhibit at the Costume Institute. This is a costume party at it’s finest. The event is hosted by Vogue, with celebrity guests personally approved by Anna Wintour. Tickets are sold for the event, starting at $5,000. Each year the exhibit has a theme, and this years theme was Punk. Who do you think did punk the best?
