Ski Holiday Must Haves
January 19, 2015It’s that time again, many of you are getting ready to hit the ski hill. If you don’t have access to the slopes on a regular basis you may be wondering what are the best pieces to feel warm and cosy but also strut your stuff on the hill. Here are a few of my favourite pieces and some current trends that I see around the village and on the ski hill.
Toque: The slouchy beanie. My favourite hat, it can be seen all over the hill. You can never go wrong with grey, I love a great grey hat. This one by The Elder Statesman is cashmere and will keep you warm while looking cool.
Boots: The women’s classic Joan of Arctic Boot by Sorel. Stay warm and dry in these waterproof full grain leather and suede boots. Tall enough to go walking through the tall snow drifts in the village.
Jacket: Colour is the big thing this year on the mountain, I admit I did look for a pink one like this but my size was gone so I opted for white which is always chic. Check out Burton for the best jackets out there for staying dry and looking sharp.
Pants: A good pair of ski or snowboard pants make all the difference. This is a piece of clothing that you do not want to cheep out on, get a good pair. I have these by Special Blend and I love them. They are warm, slim fitting and pretty darn cool.
Goggles: Rimless. Popular are the nice big bubble surface so you can take in your surroundings. Love it. Find these Dragon one’s here.
