Transition Piece

This time of year I start dreaming of my Spring wardrobe and start planning out what I’m going to wear when the weather starts to get nicer. Yet it’s so hard to imagine the dresses, shorts, and other springwear that I’m going to wear when the weather is so cold outside. Even though now is the best time to shop since there are so many sales, the last thing I want to think about purchasing right now is more sweaters and coats!

The important thing to think about now is those transition pieces. Pieces that you can wear now and not look like you are living in a dream world!  This dress from BCBGMaxAzria is a perfect example. You can wear this piece over tights, leggings, or even denim for a tunic look if you are feeling visionary. And it will transition well into spring and even summer. I’m already planning a couple events to wear this dress to, one in February and one in April. I suggest buying pieces that you can layer, such as lighter fabrics, and in neutral classic colours so the colours don’t look out of season or start to bore you.
