Festival Wear
April 1, 2014I can’t believe that summer is around the corner and summer music festivals are literally beginning in a couple weeks. Coachella really kicks off the season and in two weeks crowds will be trekking to the desert to listen to some of the biggest names in music right now. To be honest half the point of Coachella is the music, with the other half being fashion. The planning of the outfits is half the battle. Having been before I have a clearer idea of what to expect and what to bring . You are going to go into it with a clear picture of whaat your outfits are going to look like but with the heat and the festivities you are going to end up wearing whatever is easiest. You don’t have to pack your entire wardrobe, the weather is going to be killer, and by the third day you might be feeling a little rough. I recommend wearing soft fabrics, comfortable shoes, and having a cute layering piece for the desert nights. Pack a few different dresses, they will be all you want to throw on in the morning after a late night. Prints are big at music festivals, as well as colour! Have one day in shorts and a t shirt, and make sure they are ok to get dirty! Here are some of my favourite picks, from some of my favourite brands!
These Anine Bing boots will look great with any dress or short combo. They are my favourite!
Boyfriend jean shorts are perfect for music festivals. Easy to slip on! These are AG Adriano Goldschmied.
A classic Denim short from Rag & Bone!
A good pair of sandals. Every Steve Madden shoe I have has lasted me a few years. I love this print!
There are different pool parties and events at music festivals. It’s good to always be prepared! I like B. Swim tops to use under a white tank for layering!
Gypsy Soul Designs has some great dresses and kimonos that would be perfect at any festival. I love this tunic dress!
A basic tank is good to have for a day where you just don’t know what to wear. Pair with a bikini top underneath! I love the Anine Bing tank because the fit is loose and casual, and the fabric is so soft!
You need to have a Penny Lane dress and Indah Clothing has definitely pulled it off with this Kimono dress!
A little black dress is also needed. Especially a backless one! This one is from Indah Clothing.
I wore these Guess shorts the entire time at Coachella last year. And then all summer!
A good jean jacket is needed. Denim looks better with wear and tear, you won’t have to worry about ruining it. You are going to need a layer for the nights. This Guess one does the trick and looks chic over a dress.
I am obsessed with this Stillwater The Brand’s kimono. Available for shipping in April. I will wear it over jeans, over a black maxi dress, over anything I can!
Also from Stillwater The Brand, is this great maxi. A maxi that is shorter in the front and longer in the back is perfect for a festival because you don’t have to worry about people stepping on it, as well as it will keep you cool on those hot hot days!
What’s going to be in your suitcase? Let me know!
