For those of you who have made the journey over from my Facebook Page, Instagram, Twitter or whatever other social media thanks for coming! If you stumbled upon my site by accident I hope you stay awhile!
I am a wardrobe and personal stylist. I work with personal clients to help find them find their way back through their closets and back to themselves. One of my motto’s is ” Clear your closet, clear your mind”. Cleaning out your closet can be life changing for many reasons. It’s not really about shopping or fashion, it’s about more than that. Its about feeling good. When you feel good you create a different presence around you and everyone benefits. Well, that’s the way I think of it anyway. Finding your style and some new clothes is just the icing on the cake so to speak.
I first started helping clients through referrals. I had no business cards, no website, no “company” name, my name was just passed around and I showed up at your doorstep. Armed with years in the fashion industry, a passion to help people, and an eye for what works, a business was born. I started posting my outfits so that my clients could see what I wore and how I paired things together. My clients started to share my page and images on their sites, I started booking more clients, designers and brands re-posted my pictures on their sites, and I started collaborating with them.
I have grown organically, and it would not be possible without you following me, re-posting my pictures and sharing my name. I am so grateful, you have allowed me to share my style and my desire to raise women up through fashion.
I took my first flight lesson last week these pictures seemed fitting for the launch of a new website. I am learning to fly literally in a few different ways. Today I have a different kind of take off and you guys are my wings.
See you all soon,

Heading into the weekend I had very little time to get a dress and a few events to go too. I was looking for something that was easy to throw on, casual yet still dressy…and for pete sakes comfortable! I don’t know about you but I get ready at home to go out and I am feeling good…my tight dress is looking swanky, then at some point the inevitable happens…the dress gets smaller, my stomach gets bigger ( most likely my lactose intolerance) and it becomes such a chore sucking in!! I am totally full of appetizers, salad, dinner, desert and throw in a carbonated drink or two and I just don’t look or feel the same as when I walked in the door. I don’t care how skinny you are…I know it happens to you too. Anyway I found this fantastic dress this week at a boutique in Kelowna called Influence. I have to say I am not really a “blush” kind of girl but something about its feminine shape and its girly colour drew me in. I tried it on and I was sold, I felt like such a girl! I wore it out of the store with my jean jacket and black leather flip flops for a lunch meeting. I had a quick turn around time, walked in my door at home and changed my shoes and added a sparkly BCBG clutch and walked back out the door. Gotta love it ladies, day to night and no sucking in. That my friends, is a dress.
Thank you to Xsenia and Olya for one of the most beautiful dresses that has graced my body as of late.
Last month I had the pleasure of trying on most of the Spring/Summer 2013 Xsenia & Olya collection at Vetrina Moda in Vancouver. I was amazed by the beauty of the designs and the versatility of the dresses.
Xsenia & Olya have designed everything from blazers & matching shorts to stunning evening gowns. This collection has pieces that can be worn to a lunch with girlfriends or to an evening gala function. The price point starts at $200 and upwards for a unique piece. Each piece is made from a digital picture or image printed on silk. I love how they included natural elements, images such as smoke, jelly fish and a waterfall combined with gorgeous material…try it on, your body with thank you.
Designed and made in London by two very talented ladies you can take a look at their collection on line or at Vetrina Moda in Vancouver.
As an aside if you have not visited Vetrina Moda, you must. I had a great experience there, Rachel is darling and they even made me a latte while I shopped!
In some people’s minds, shorts can seem more like a daytime piece. But with all the fun prints out there right now, and the different looks, you can totally make shorts work at night. However, you don’t want to seem like you’re going to the beach or the mall, while your girlfriends are all in dresses. The key is to dress the look up. You can do this by adding a blazer, a leather jacket, nude or black heels, and some statement piece necklaces. I have a pair of leather shorts that I am absolutely obsessed with. I can’t wear them often enough. I pair them with a more delicate and softer looking printed top, which helps the look still look feminine (with an edgy twist.) Also you want to be sure to wear a pair of shorts that flatter your figure, and that you are comfortable in. Be mindful of your body type as well, you don’t want the shorts to appear to cut you off in the wrong places or ride up and cause you do be uncomfortable for your night out. Here are some outfit ideas, plus a few of my favorite going out shorts, and ideas for tops and jackets.

Well it was looking like summer was here in some parts of Canada and the US last week, even thought temperatures have dipped you need to be prepared at the very first outbreak of summer! I have a drawer full of new bikini’s new and old, trendy and not, seeing as I live in a beach town I feel that I am justified. I spend most of the summer in the water and it seems that I trash my bathing suits by the end of the summer. My two favourites that I got last year before I went to Maui are my LSpace fringe suits. No matter where I am, I always seem to divert back to these suits. There are a million great suits out there, the most important thing is to buy what fits your body. I also suggest buying the nicest suit that you can afford, I always find that the better quality the longer it lasts and the better it fits. Here’s hoping you are all prepared when the sun comes out!
