A Piece of Paradise

I just got back from Palm Springs and Coachella, and one of the things I ALWAYS bring when I go on a trip is my favourite cream and perfume. For the last year my favourite smell has been Pacifica’s Hawaiian Ruby Guava.

I found Pacifica at Sephora last year on vacation, in Palm Springs actually. I needed some cream and this little bottle of Ruby Guava was at the till ( they always get me at the till, I am one of THOSE people!!)

I have to admit I get tired of walking around smelling like everyone else and I was in need some smell inspiration!

I found my inspiration in Pacifica. Specifically the Hawaiian Ruby Guava Collection.

Pacifica was started by Brook Harvey who is originally from Montana. She has been mixing perfumes from a young age. Together with her husband they worked together to start the brand. Brook decided to take a fresh approach to perfuming which enhances rather than overwhelms. Her blends are sophisticated and complex. They come to life differently on each person, and come on who does’t want their smell to come to life

Brook also pays attention to formulating natural and safe products. She doesn’t put all that stuff( that they tell us that we don’t want) in her scents.

Brook states this about The Hawaiian Guava scent “This blend was inspired by one of my favorite surf trips to Hawaii. We spent hours sitting on the lanai watching the waves, the warm smell of coconut wax on our surfboards mingling with the sweet scent of the guavas from the tree in front of our house. This blend is reminiscent of paradise.”

I think that may be why I like it…I like walking around smelling like paradise is all around me.
