Designer Highlight: Gypsy Soul

I like to define my style as classy with edge.  I prefer to stick to quality classic pieces and sprinkle in pieces that are fun, trendy and a little edgy.  I had seen a few pieces from the Gypsy Soul line and I was drawn to what I saw.  I loved the bright colours and free spirit style, I am after all a beach girl at heart.

I ventured down to their new studio space last week and I loved what I saw.  When I walked in I was greeted with a warm welcome from designers Chelsea and Brandy, their energy was so positive and warm I couldn’t help but feel like part of the family.  They have a passion for their line and the people wearing it, I love that…these girls are my kind of people.

I think that there are pieces in this collection for everyone.  I choose the “Gypsy”dress because I can throw it on now and head to a BBQ in flip flops, It can be dressed up with heels and a clutch too.  I can also use it as a great piece to transition into fall with my Anine Bing boots and a leather jacket.  At Christmas time I am in Maui and its the perfect dress to throw on there on top of a bathing suit or out for dinner. I love pieces that can cross seasons and also are multi-purpose.

I also fell in love with the pink Kimono.  I put it on every morning and wear it around the house. It was my bathing suit cover up yesterday while having my coffee by my pool. I had a meeting in the afternoon so I threw it on with my Rag and Bone shorts and white tank with my Bing sandals. Loving it. Multi-purpose!!

Kimono’s are also all the rage right now and can be seen on everyone from Kate Bosworth at Coachella to Miley Cyrus the streets of NYC on a casual Saturday stroll.
