Fall Style
August 18, 2014
It’s that time of year again, in the world of fashion fall and winter have been unveiled in the stores half way through summer. The fall trends for 2014 are looking amazing. I mean who isn’t excited about oversized sweaters, motto jackets and cozy scarves. There are may trends out there but I have listed my top favourite trends and the most wearable pieces.
The Over Sized Sweater – By far the fall favourite for every one…the chunky sweater. I really like the texture and the colour of this sweater by L’AGENCE. It has a soft, chunky knit, knotted leather buttons a bit of a vintage charm, and patch pockets at the hips. Pair it with skinny jeans a classic white tee and a pair of booties or high tops.
If you are looking for a cardigan that is a bit dressier try this minimalist Brochu Walker cardigan.
If you are looking for fall sweater that is clean and fresh I like this pullover by Free People. I also love this lumber jack cardigan by For Love and Lemons.
The Wrap Coat – Ever wish you could walk outside in your cosy robe, well now you can. The wrap coat is your new favourite fall piece. Cosy, classy, comfortable and right on trend. As we come into fall I tend to stick to grey, white and black. I love this one by Vince it is asymmetric with leather piping, perfect for running errands or heading out to dinner.
This wrap coat by Ralph Lauren is also a classic piece.
How could you not love this Vivienne Westwood oversized woven one.
Fall Sneakers – Much to our excitement the humble sneaker came down the runway for fall 2014 and has been ordained the season’s superstar. I have these Ash high tops and I love them. Easy to wear with a chunky sweater and skinny jeans, or even dress them up with a blazer, white tee and skinny jeans. Check out these here and similar here. New Balance has been making waves in the sneaker world and are easy to throw on with a sweatshirt and look cool and comfortable.
This Steve Madden quilted slip on has a very classic look.
Theses Jeffery Campbell ones are fun, add light coloured jean shorts and a grey shirt or sweater. Keep the colour just to the feet and everything else neutral.
Fall Orange – Pops of tangerine were all over the fall runway. Try integrating a piece or two into your wardrobe this fall for a little fun. This Petit Bateau Lemurien Long Sleeve Sweater is a perfect addition to your wardrobe. The Christopher Kane orange sweatshirt would look great to run errands or wear out on the weekend.
Metric orange cotton blend jeans from Notify.
Orange Tiered dress from Milly.
Animal Motif – Always a favourite and holding it’s fashionable ground for yet another year, animal prints are looking great for fall. This Joie sweater is an subtle way to join the trend and add a little excitement to your wardrobe.
Love this Diane Von Furstenberg dress I found on sale at the Outnet.
Animal Print Skinny Jeans from Just Cavalli also on sale at the Outnet.
Happy Shopping!
