Its Time to Blush

Heading into the weekend I had very little time to get a dress and a few events to go too. I was looking for something that was easy to throw on, casual yet still dressy…and for pete sakes comfortable! I don’t know about you but I get ready at home to go out and I am feeling good…my tight dress is looking swanky, then at some point the inevitable happens…the dress gets smaller, my stomach gets bigger ( most likely my lactose intolerance) and it becomes such a chore sucking in!! I am totally full of appetizers, salad, dinner, desert and throw in a carbonated drink or two and I just don’t look or feel the same as when I walked in the door. I don’t care how skinny you are…I know it happens to you too. Anyway I found this fantastic dress this week at a boutique in Kelowna called Influence. I have to say I am not really a “blush” kind of girl but something about its feminine shape and its girly colour drew me in. I tried it on and I was sold, I felt like such a girl! I wore it out of the store with my jean jacket and black leather flip flops for a lunch meeting. I had a quick turn around time, walked in my door at home and changed my shoes and added a sparkly BCBG clutch and walked back out the door. Gotta love it ladies, day to night and no sucking in. That my friends, is a dress.
