Lately, I have been thinking about how summer jewelry differs from winter jewelry. I find in the summer I am drawn to more colourful pieces and also, GOLD. Gold pieces look so nice with a nice tan and summer glow. One of my favourite jewelry designers right now uses both colour through her semi-precious stones and a nice yellow 14k or 18k gold. Katie Diamond is a jewelry designer who started as a goldsmith and moved on to create her own pieces. She uses gold vermeil and sterling silver in her pieces to create the best of the best. I love that you can choose your own semi precious stone in her jewelry, using a colour that you love, your birthstone, or your children’s birthstones. Her pieces are edgy with a sense of luxe yet dainty and delicate. I love that in some of the earrings she connects that stud with a chain!
