Summer White

Make way for the new ‘it’ color that’s not really a color:  white.

White nails made their first appearance on the Spring 2013 runways (like at rag & bone, before it started showing up on stars like Miley Cyrus and Kim Kardashian. Now, after my steady Big Apple red, You don’t know Jaques, and Cajun Shrimp rotation I have added white into the mix for summer. And luckily, it’s hard to go wrong when the shade is so versatile.

I find the white really pop’s against a tan, it’s not as blinding as some of the neon’s that are out there and perhaps not as garden party pretty as the pastels but its edgy and shouts summer all at the same time.  So for your next manicure step out of your comfort colour box and throw on the white.

My favourite is OPI in “My Vampire Is Buff” the shade is more of a Vanilla nude-white. It has the versatility of a nude, but with white’s fresh edgy feel. The light color is great if you’re short on time, a few coats of “Buff” can help a mani stretch for a full week.
