It’s getting nicer out and most of us are starting to shift away from boots, sweaters and heavy jackets. We’re ready to wear leather sandals and shorts. Here are some tried-and tested transitional pieces you may already have in your closet or you might want to invest in to tide you over:
The Leather Jacket – This is the one piece that I always tell my personal clients that they need year-round, but especially during the transitional season. If you don’t already have one in your closet arsenal, check out this Aritzia Kenya Jacket
The Shirt Dress – The Shirt Dress is not only a hot trend piece for spring but it’s also an amazing transitional piece. In the winter you can wear it with tights layered under a longer wool coat. In the spring you can throw it on with your trusty leather jacket and a pair of booties. If it’s a seriously glorious day (think: pre-summer) it can be worn on its own with oxfords. Net-a-Porter
Cropped Denim – That staple of the late 1980s, white jeans are back for spring in a big way. But they can also straddle the seasonal hump. The distressed look is on point right now, so grab a pair and wear them with a chunky grey or black sweater right now and swap that out for a silk tank, a blazer and a pair of ballet flats in the spring. Aritzia, Le Colour Rip Blanc by Frame.

Kim was absolutely a dream to work with. I had to find a dress for a New York red carpet film premiere, and she came to my home with amazing options to get the look perfect. She nailed it, and was so kind and supportive! She really made me feel super confident for such an important event, and took the stress off of me for getting the look together!
It was so great to work with her, and I look forward to the next time :)
